In which Clare gushes like the broke student she is...

This first gorgeous picture was taken from Purple Diary.
OK so I am currently lacking in the camera department of my life (what else is knew) but I’ve recently stumbled upon the glory that is the Dior Couture fall 2010 collection and I needed a place to shamelessly gush.

Ok so basically the gist of the collection is flowers. Sounds pretty standard right? Wrong. The fabrics, the decorative techniques, the makeup and the hair makes it literally look like there are some seriously sophisticated gumnut babies staunching down the cat walk.
Am I right? I'm right. This is just making me wish I had a truck load of silk and dyeing technicians on hand so I could just start ripping them off, at the very least I'm half considering wrapping my head in cellophane. I wish I was joking with that last statement but I have recently spent an entire evening trying to fashion my hair into one of those Gaga bows, so at this point there is a good chance cellophane will be next.

Anyway the colours are also amazing. Despite my recent dress sense having the colour scheme of a fisherman and/or rice farmer, colour is something I love to use and rather than shying away from it (like a number of other, slightly disappointing, unnamed collections) this collection just sort of grabs it by the balls...so to speak.

And this would be the part of the collection I hence fourth dub 'Dresses that make Clare wish she was a celebrity just for the chance to wear them to some red carpet event and require a semi trailer for transportation'. Gah, Tulle, love it. I like how it hales back to the original Dior silhouette and the colours are just fabulous. It makes me want to wear my giant tulle petit coat (note to self: Work it into an outfit and proceed to blog like you're being paid).

Did anyone else really enjoy this collection? Or am I just a massive sucker for Tulle?

Anyway, I'm done with my gushing now.
Until we meet again internet:
